Behind every good shop there is a person with a story. Behind naczynia-miedziane.pl stands Norbert Dydyński — a passionate advocate of natural medicine, a traveller, and someone who is deeply convinced that good health begins with the choices we make every day. And that copper is one of the best choices we can make.

Where did the idea come from?

An interest in natural healing methods and preventive healthcare has accompanied Norbert throughout his life. Traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, herbalism, energetic resonance — these are topics he has explored for years, not just in theory but through direct experience and journeys to places where these traditions are alive and practised from generation to generation.

Before the copper vessel shop came to be, Norbert was importing Tibetan singing bowls, gongs and instruments used in sound therapy into Poland. It was this path — through sound, vibration and energy — that led him to copper. A metal that has accompanied humanity in the kitchen, in healing and in spirituality for over seven thousand years.

A journey to the cradle of Ayurveda

One of the pivotal moments was a journey to Sri Lanka — an island that many consider to be the cradle of Ayurveda. It was there that Norbert witnessed first-hand how natural medicinal preparations are made: with what precision, intention and respect for the raw material. How much energy and healing power lies within something that grew from nature and was processed in accordance with centuries of accumulated knowledge.

"I watched herbs gathered at dawn, dried in a particular way and combined according to ancient recipes become medicine. Not a supplement, not a tablet — real medicine. That energy is tangible. And I feel exactly the same energy in a well-made copper vessel," says Norbert.

That journey reinforced his conviction that preventive healthcare — the daily, conscious choices we make about what we eat, what we drink and what we use — is a value worth sharing with as many people as possible.

Where do the name AURA and the infinity symbol come from?

The infinity symbol (∞) — the lemniscate — is one of the most universal signs in human history. It appears in mathematics, physics, philosophy and the spiritual traditions of both East and West. It signifies continuity, balance, eternal motion and the union of opposites — just as copper unites tradition with modernity, nature with science, and East with West.

In the AURA logo, the infinity symbol also represents something very practical: durability. A well-cared-for copper vessel will serve for generations — it is an object without end, passed down with the history and value encoded in the metal.

What sets naczynia-miedziane.pl apart from most shops on the market is a direct capital interest in a production facility in India. We are not an intermediary ordering goods from an anonymous factory — we have a real influence over every stage of production: the choice of raw material, the alloy composition, the manufacturing technique and quality control before dispatch.

India, and the Rajasthan region in particular, is one of the oldest and most respected centres of copper craftsmanship in the world. The craftsmen there have been passing down knowledge of copper-working from generation to generation for hundreds of years. We work with masters of this craft who treat every vessel as a work of art, not a product.

A meeting at the source of tradition

During his journey to Sri Lanka, Norbert had the exceptional honour of meeting Pradeep Nilanga Dela — the royal guardian of the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy, one of the holiest sites in Buddhism. What is more — he met him three times. For most people in the world, a single such meeting remains an unattainable dream.

Pradeep holds a royal title and, as the guardian of the relic, commands an authority and respect comparable to that of the Dalai Lama — he is universally known and revered in every Buddhist country: Thailand, Japan, Tibet, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia. The Temple of the Tooth in Kandy is to Buddhists what the Vatican is to Catholics — a place of absolutely unique spiritual standing, and its royal guardian has a decisive influence on many matters relating to Buddhist tradition and spirituality across Asia.

Three meetings with the royal guardian of Buddhism's holiest relic is an experience that leaves a lasting mark. For Norbert, they were confirmation of the path he had chosen — that the energy of a place, a material and an intention has real significance, and that it is precisely this energy that is worth carrying into everyday life through the objects we choose and use each day.
